12 week, 2 day Ultrasound

Wow, this baby has grown! Baby McCammon is now measuring 43 mm, which is approximately the size of one of the fun-sized Butterfingers that we have leftover from Halloween. We were lucky this week and had ultrasounds on both Monday (11 weeks, 6 days) and Thursday (12 weeks, 2 days). The picture from Monday is on top and the picture from Thursday is underneath. Baby McCammon was noticeably less cooperative today....he/she turned its little bottom towards the ultrasound and refused to move for several minutes, thus making it difficult to get a clear picture. During the course of the ultrasound, however, John and I did get to see a very active baby and John is still laughing about the baby "mooning" us. I officially graduated to my regular OB today, so the ultrasounds will probably be less frequent from this point on, but we will keep posting about our progress even if we don't have pictures to include.

10 week, 2 day Ultrasound

We had another great ultrasound today! The baby is measuring 25 mm and had a heart rate of 176 beats per minute. About half way through the ultrasound, the baby started moving around, which was really amazing to see. The movements didn't seem very coordinated though, so it looks like the baby might not be any more athletic than its mother. The baby did, however, manage to wish John a happy birthday!

9 week, 2 day Ultrasound

We had a great ultrasound today. The baby is measuring 17 mm with a heartbeat of 182 beats per minute, and as you can see, it is a Saints fan! You can also see the baby's head, which is facing down and the beginnings of its little arms and legs, which it was moving around during the ultrasound.

8 week Ultrasound

As you can see, we have a sweet baby (at least according to the ultrasound technician!) with a heartbeat of 146 beats per minute. The baby is currently measuring 9.5 mm from crown to rump!
